AirStack Software Suite

AirStack is the consolidated software platform for radio frequency (RF) intelligence applications. The suite manages AI and digital signal processing (DSP) applications on Deepwave’s software defined radio (SDR) hardware and other RF technology ecosystems. AirStack provides a definitive application environment for accessing RF intelligence.

RF data contains information critical to automated systems. Processing this data stream is challenging due to high data rates and signal complexity. Data transfer using bulk raw IQ data across conventional networks introduces latency and increased complexity for real-time mission systems.

AirStack Product Portfolio

AirStack functions as the central operating environment for developing and managing low-latency RF intelligence solutions. The core products manage remote deployment, custom application development, and high-performance operating environments.

AirStack Core

The RF Intelligence Operating System. Core is the dedicated runtime and API layer for high-performance RF AI computing. It supplies the Linux-based operating system, hardware drivers, and APIs for direct AIR-T control.

AirStack Edge

The Remote Application Management layer. Edge facilitates deployment and lifecycle management of RF AI application suites at the edge. This product interfaces with external operations and orchestration platforms.

AirStack BitStream

The FPGA Toolkit. BitStream is an FPGA application development framework for the AIR-T platform. It integrates custom logic on the FPGA to maximize analysis throughput for ultra-low latency RF applications.

AirStack Tools Interoperability

The modularity of the AirStack portfolio is structured to ensure comprehensive RF solution development and deployment. Each component provides a distinct layer of functionality.

  • AirStack Core serves as the operating foundation running on the CPU and GPU. It provides the necessary drivers and runtime environments for high-performance AI inference and DSP routines. Core manages the critical data flow between the FPGA (BitStream logic) and the high-level application.
  • AirStack Edge operates as the top orchestration layer. It enables remote management, secure communication, deployment of new AI models, and interfacing with external command and control platforms. This unified structure supports scalable deployment and agile maintenance across distributed sensor fleets.
  • AirStack BitStream handles the lowest latency functions. It allows developers to implement custom DSP and data reduction directly on the Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). This operation offloads the Central Processing Unit (CPU) and Graphics Processing Unit (GPU).
